Managing clients

You can manage your business clients through the Clients tab under Business. Use the toolbar or the Actions menu to create, edit, hide, or delete clients. The client list provides detailed information about each client, and additional features are accessible through various tools.

Clients tab overview

The Clients tab displays the following details for each client:

  • Latest activity: The most recent interaction date with the client.

  • Credit: Available client credit balance.

  • Unbilled: Expenses recorded but not yet billed.

  • Billed: The total amount billed to the client.

  • Paid: The total payments received from the client.

  • Unpaid: The total outstanding invoices.

  • Overdue: Invoices past their due dates.

You can export the client list to a CSV file for external use.

Accessing key features

From the Clients tab, you can quickly perform the following actions:

  • New Client: Add a new client.

  • Create Invoice: Generate an invoice for the selected client.

  • Receive Payment: Record a payment received from the selected client.

  • Issue Refund: Process a refund for the selected client.

Viewing client details

Click View Client to access detailed information and tools related to the selected client. This view includes four main tabs: Overview, Invoices, Transactions, and Notes.

Overview tab

This tab provides a summary of:

  • Client profitability: Displays total income, expenses, and profit margin.

  • Invoice status: Shows open invoices and overdue amounts.

  • Available client credit: The remaining credit balance for the client.

  • Unbilled expenses: Expenses that are logged but not yet invoiced.

Invoices tab

The Invoices tab lists all invoices, payments received, and refunds issued. Each entry includes:

  • Date

  • Invoice number

  • Type (Invoice, Payment, Refund)

  • Status (e.g., Open, Paid)

  • Billed and paid amounts

  • Unpaid balances

You can select any item to view its transaction details by double-clicking or using the View Transaction button.

Transactions tab

The Transactions tab displays all financial transactions associated with the client, including:

  • Billable expenses

  • Non-billable expenses

You can filter transactions by business and date. To view a transaction's details in the register, select it and click View Transaction.

Notes tab

The Notes tab allows you to add, edit, or review notes about the client. This section is for recording important client-specific information, such as preferences or project-related details.
