The Interest Category dialog lets you change the category used to track interest payments for this loan. Only the interest category can be changed because payments to the loan principal go directly into the loan account itself. If you require more flexibility in how you assign payment amounts to categories, set up a detailed loan reminder.
To change the loan interest category:
- At the top of the dialog is the name of the loan you are changing the interest category for.
- Select a new category from the Interest Category drop-down.
- The new category will be used for all future loan payments.
