If you find that there are payees that you never use anymore, you can delete them from the Memorized Payee List (this won't affect previously recorded transactions that use the deleted payee). If not cleaned out periodically, the Memorized Payee List can become very long and unwieldy.

Delete one or more memorized payees directly from the Memorized Payee List

  1. Choose Tools menu > Memorized Payee List. (Do it for me)
  2. Select the payee you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete, and then click OK to confirm the deletion.

Have Quicken delete memorized payees that haven't been used recently

  1. Choose Edit menu > Preferences.
  2. In the left pane, click Data entry and QuickFill.
  3. Select Remove memorized payees not used in last [x] months, and enter the number of months after which unused payees will be deleted.

Note

This setting only affects unlocked payees.
