titleI actually want to customize my report

The instructions below are about setting report preferences. Select Customize at the top of your report screen to make changes to an individual report.

To update these preferences, Select Edit menu > Preferences. In the left pane, choose Reports and Graphs. Select Done after the preferences have been updated.

Account display

  • Select Description to use only the account description in the report.
  • Select Name to use only the account name in the report.
  • Select Both to use the account name and description in the report.

  • Select the font size you would like all your reports to be displayed in. Choose among:
    • A- (small)
    • A (regular)
    • A+ (large).
  • Select the Alternate Row color checkbox (Colour in Canada) checkbox to use alternate row colors for your reports.
  • Select Row Height for your reports among - Standard, Compact & Extra space. The row height in the reports will be changed accordingly.


Other Settings

  • Select Collapse all graphs in reports by default to create reports in the collapsed state so that you much choose to expand a report section to see the details for that report section.
  • Select Apply color to expenses in reports to differentiate expenses using color.  (Colour in Canada)
  • Select QuickZoom to investment forms to have Quicken take you from a specific transaction you've selected in an investment report to the investment form you completed for that transaction.
    Clear QuickZoom to investment forms to have Quicken take you from a specific transaction in an investment report to the entry in the investment transaction list for that transaction.

    For the Capital Gains report, Quicken takes you to the Sold transaction in the transaction list whether or not you select this check box.

  • Select Remind me to save reports to be prompted to save a customized report when you attempt to close the report's screen.
  • Select Don’t show the zero-balance accounts in Net Worth reports to only include accounts with balances in your Net Worth reports.
  • Set Decimal places for prices and shares to , shares and exchange rates to any number from 0 to 8. This will determine how much detail will be displayed for your shares and prices.
    For example, if the option is set to 4, a price could be 10.1345. With the option set to 2, the same price would appear as 10.13.

    To apply the decimal point rule to exchange rates, you must turn on Multicurrency Support under Calendar and currency preferences.
