Before you can download transactions into an account, you need to activate it for online services. After an account has been activated, it's easy to keep its transactions and balance up to date.

Update a single account

  1. Open the account you want to update.
  2. Click

  1. Note: If you don't see Update Now in the menu, it's probably because the account is not activated for online access yet. Choose Set up Online instead.

  2. Enter your password.

  1. Note: Depending on how you manage your financial institution passwords, this may be the password for just this account, or the password for the Quicken Password Vault.
  2. In the One Step Update Settings dialog, verify the account to update and bill payments to send (if any). Select or deselect items, as necessary.
  3. Click Update Now.

      1. Click Close in the One Step Update Summary window when you finish reviewing it.

      Update multiple accounts at the same time

      1. Choose Tools menu > One Step Update.

      Note: One Step Update doesn't work with Web Connect accounts. Quicken may be able to upgrade accounts you currently update through your financial institution's website to another connection type that you can use with One Step Update. If this is the case, Quicken will let you know.
