You can't categorize a transfer with an income or expense category. When you transfer money from one account to another, you're not spending or receiving money—you're simply moving it. (Instead of an income or expense category, the name of the account you’re moving the money to or from appears in the Category field in the register.)
You can use Quicken tags with transfers, however. Tags allow you to group transactions without categorizing them as income or expense.
