Update the value of an asset

With asset or liability accounts for items that appreciate or depreciate, you may want to enter the current value periodically. When you reconcile the account, Quicken adds an adjustment transaction to do this for you.
- In the asset account register, click
click (the Account Actions icon), and then choose Update Balance.
- Enter the account balance.
- Select a category name for the adjustment transaction.
- Change the date. (Optional)
- Click OK.
