Add your loan details
There are some great loan features in Quicken that require you to enter a bit more information. These features include:
- Loan payment schedule
- Projected payoff graph and date
- Monthly payment pie chart
- Interest paid table
To add these features:
- Click Add Loan Details and enter the information requested. If you need assistance, click the Help icon.

Add a linked asset account
It's a good idea to set up an asset account to track the value of the item you're purchasing with this loan. This makes your net worth reports more accurate.
- Click Add linked asset account and select the type of asset account to create.
- Enter the information requested. If you need assistance, click the Help icon.
- Quicken displays the amount of equity you hold in the asset on the Loan Details tab.
