  1. Click the Bills & Income tab.
  2. Near the top right side of the screen, select the plus sign.
  3. Select the type of reminder that you'd like to create:
    • Online Bill: For Get reminders for online bills, you enter . Enter the login information for the biller's site. Quicken automatically contacts the site and determines amount due and due date based on the information on the site.
    • Manual Bill: A Get reminders for regularly occurring bill bills that cannot be accessed online. You enter all the relevant information about the billbills.
    • Add Income Reminder: Get reminders for regularly occurring deposits. You add all the relevant information about the income. For regular employment pay, you may be interested in using the Paycheck Setup wizard instead of an income reminder.
    • Add Transfer Reminder: Get reminders for regularly occurring account trasfers.

      Use income reminders for your recurring deposits, such as the net amount of your paycheck.

      If you want track the gross amount of your paycheck, and then categorize and track your payroll deductions and taxes, use the Paycheck Setup wizard instead.

      In the From field, type the source of the income. As you type, Quicken tries to find a match in the Memorized Payee List. If Quicken finds a match, select the payee (the income source) from the displayed list; if it doesn't find a match, continue typing to create a new payee.

      Click Next when you are done, and then continue with Step 3, below.

      Transfer ReminderUse transfer reminders to help you remember to move money between your accounts. In the Payee field, type a description of the transfer. As you type, Quicken tries to find a match in the Memorized Payee List. If Quicken finds a match, select the payee (the transfer description) from the displayed list; if it doesn't find a match, continue typing to create a new payee.Click Next when you are done, and then continue with Step 3, below.
  4. Add or edit the Due Next On date, or click the edit icon to change the following options:
    • Start date
    • How often
    • End date
  5. Add or edit the Amount due, or click the edit icon to change the following options:
    • Enter a fixed amount
    • Let Quicken estimate the amount
  6. Select the Account.
  7. If you are creating a bill reminder and the account is enabled for bill pay, select Use Online Bill Pay to pay the bill online.

  8. Add or edit the reminder Details.
    • Category
    • Tag
    • Memo
  9. Add or edit the Optional Settings for the reminder.
    • Remind me [n] days in advance
      • Remind me [n] days in advance
        Select this option to enter the number of days in advance of when the reminder is due that you want to be reminded of it.

      • Automatically enter the transaction in the register [n] days before the due date

        Select this option to enter the number of days in advance of when the reminder is due that you want to trigger the reminder and automatically enter it as a transaction in your register.
      • Use only business days for reminder

        Select this option to count only business days when calculating the reminder due date. Quicken will disregard holidays and weekends.
    • Related website
    • Estimate amount for me
    • Sync to Outlook
    • Print check with Quicken
    • Make this a repeating online payment
  10. Click Done. The Set Up Bill Reminder window is displayed with details of the reminder.
  11. If you want to link this reminder to a biller, click Link it Now. Learn more about linking reminders to billers in Quicken. Go to the section Use the Online Bills tab to work with aggregated bills and billers > Link reminders to billers/bill accounts.
  12. Search and select the required biller. Enter the credentials you use to sign into the biller website and follow the sign in process.
  13. Click Next. After the reminder is successfully linked to the biller, click Close.
  14. If you want to continue linking another bill reminder, click Link Another Bill and follow the above procedure.
