Transaction details are fully editable.

- Double-click the transaction you want to edit.
- You can also select the transaction and click Edit in the toolbar, or choose Transactions > Edit Transaction from the Quicken menu.
- Make any changes by selecting the incorrect information and typing over it.

- Made a mistake? Choose Edit > Undo from the Quicken menu or type ⌘Z.
Note that changing the amount of a transaction can cause problems if you've already reconciled the transaction with your bank statement.

- First, ensure that the accounts you want to edit are not hidden.
- In the Quicken sidebar, select All Transactions.
- Click in the Search field, then click the search icon and select the option Category. Then type Car in the search fieldthe name of the category you want to find and chance (such as Car). All the transactions associated with the category Car are displayedwill display.
- Select all these transactions.
- Go to File > Get Info. The Transactions Info window is displayedwill display.
- In the Category field, enter the required category name . In this case, enter Automobile and click you want to change the categories to (such as automobile).
Click OK. All the selected transactions that were associated with the category Car are now associated with the category Automobile.
Now, delete the category CarInfo title What if some transactions have split categories? Bulk edit will change the category that matches your search criteria. It will not change other categories in a split. If you wish to remove a split transaction, you need to remove each individually. You cannot bulk remove split categories.
- Delete the original category (such as Car)if you wish to eliminate it.
Similarly, you can do a bulk edit for other transaction attributes such as payee, memo, and tags.
NOTE: If you make a mistake or change your mind, just select undo (Edit > Undo) from the Quicken menu.
